(사)사랑의집수리가 평촌우리교회와 함께 지난 5월 28일 안양시 동안구 평촌동 독거어르신가정을 대상으로 이웃사랑 집수리 봉사활동을 펼쳤다.

사랑의집수리 전문봉사단은 평촌우리교회 신도들과 협력하여 벽면 단열벽지, 천연단열페인트로 실내를 마감하고, 창문 방충망 설치, 커튼 설치, 수납가구류 지원, 생활필수품 지원, 대청소 등으로 집안을 청결하고 산뜻하게 바꾸어드렸다.

이번 집수리 가정은 상가건물 한 켠에 거주하는 독거 어르신 가정으로 척추수술로 허리통증이 심하여 집안을 관리하는 것에 힘들어했으며 위생상태가 좋지 않고 결로와 곰팡이, 가건물로 된 화장실과 부엌의 페인트 마감재가 심하게 노후 되어 어르신의 건강이 무척 염려되는 상황이었다. 이번 집수리활동을 통하여 깔끔한 주거 공간으로 바뀌어 어르신의 만족도도 높았다.

집수리봉사활동에 참여한 평촌우리교회 이종문목사는 ‘몸이 불편하신 어르신의 보금자리를 개선해 드릴 수 있어 기쁘고 감사하며, 앞으로도 어려운 이웃과 함께하는 사랑나눔을 지속적으로 실천해 갈 것이라고 소감을 밝혔다.
